Things That Go Bump In The Night

Sugar is sweet but vagina is betterI had a good time tattooing this gentleman. His my name is my name too. There are so many twists that you can put on this type of  imagery, I feel like you should stay true to its design yet make it creative enough to show that you can go above the Google Stampede.

This young lady by the name of Lori was a pleasure to meet and work with. Lori was passing through Atlanta and wanted to get a tattoo at our shop before she left. This was the image she asked for and I was pretty excited to draw it up or her. There were a few really great tattoos that she wore proudly, honored to be next to some of them.

I did this butterfly on my good friend and great tattooer Cori James. I work with this young lady and I can tell you that she is tough as nails.

Titties…. need I say more

This gentleman came to me on his way through Atlanta as well. I had so much fun with him and his lady. Truly great people.

Tattooed this on my new friend Nick. I was pretty stoked to put this next to a Krooked Ken piece.

bearded lay 2 (2)These are a few from The Electric City Convention. I was really in to black at this convention. I always get really excited when people want black traditional, it’s one of my favorite approaches to take.

scorpionSo much fun!

A day with out a dagger is like a day with out water.

I have not posted in a long time. I have a lot that I have been doing, I have just been lazy on this end of my social skills.

So Many Mayans, So Little Time…

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on December 20, 2012 by Miguel Olascuaga

Well, I figure one last update is in order before the end of the world, or at least until I wake up on Saturday and find out that I still have bills to pay,Christmas to celebrate, and a headlight that still needs to be replaced on my recently renewed, crash tested 2012 Kia Soul. Thank God the officer was kind enough to keep me waiting in suspense, while he questioned my child’s age, and school district as though I had decided to steal this mini toaster with a missing headlight away from an under middle class single parent. Anyways, here is what I have been up to the last few months.

wuff head, ya dumb dumb

This tattoo above was done on my good buddy Mike. We are still in the process of adding a dream catcher underneath of it.

Below is a tattoo that I did on Pippin. Pippin came to me with an idea from the movie, “Lawless”. Lawless is an incredible movie and I highly recommend you watch it

heart, balls, who gives a crap, they both get you in troubleAfter watching this movie, I became obsessed and read the book as well.

Above is a painting that I did for my friend Lucy. Lucy is expecting a child and I congratulated her with this token for her daughter’s room, and she also was awesome enough to get tickets to a show for me and my lady!

063The tattoo above was done on one of my really great clients and friend, Corey. He brought me in the reference and I changed a few things and added my own take on it. This was a fun tattoo because I don’t typically use some of these colors in my custom work.

Below is a rad tattoo on a client that wanted some type of family tree oriented theme.

intials dont grow on trees silly..There have been so many great people coming to me for work, and I feel very blessed to have them in my life.

The last few months have taken a minute to get used to, but I can say that this is the happiest I have been since moving to Georgia. Now this isn’t to discredit the time and efforts leading up to this, but things are starting to take shape.

Tom Wates for no oneI had a petty good time doing this little hour-glass tattoo.

meee yowThis was a fun walk in, she had many great tattoos and I was excited to add another one to her collection.

Roses are red, fuck you..What a fun little painting, I based it off of a photo from the 20’s. It was a tattoo on a lady’s back, I really liked it and felt like painting it. I later gifted it to my good friend and co-worker’s daughter, Brett Pundt. Talented artist that guy is.

Im A Moon Walkin’ Cowboy, Dusty Riding And I Dont Know What’s In Store

Its been a minute since the last time I posted anything. I have recently returned from a guest spot in Panama City Beach,Florida. Black Cat Tattoo is my old stomping grounds and where I was tought to tattoo by Albee. I am grateful for all that I was given, and the things that were shown to me by my co-workers. I get homesick from time to time and need a fix of  that familiarity, the very place I call home, and always will. This trip was a little different from the last few, I want to thank everybody that came in the shop to visit me, and the friends that gave me they’re hard-earned money for a tattoo. It really meant a lot to me to have that love still there waiting for me when I visit. I don’t like to look at people like “clients”, I prefer to look at them like friends who allow me to do the very thing that I love the most, I am very blessed to have every one of them in my life. I am going to show you a few pictures from my trip, and then a few paintings that I have finished up.

The picture above was done on the inner thigh, ouch…

These are always fun.

These picture were taken with my Iphone, so I apologize if they don’t look as good as they do on Instagram..

I miss this place, and my family that works here.

How could you not love this?

Here are a few random pics of projects and paintings that i have completed.

566 Boulevard SE Atlanta Ga. Come see us.

This was a paint trade to the Mrs. Lana Gooding who works at Virtue Tattoo in Houston,TX. Lana is an awesome tattooer and person, take a minute to look at her work.

I painted this and have plans to tattoo it on my girlfriend ASAP, she called dibbs and I aint about to try her!

Here is a fun tattoo “Sailor Jerry” piece that I finished up not too long ago.

Above is a painting that I finished, it is also a tattoo that I will be finishing next week, I am pretty excited about it.

I did this painting and handed it to my mentor and good friend Albee. I hope he liked it because I about threw up doing all that stippling!

A little background I finished on this elbow rose.

Dreams on Boulevard

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , on January 11, 2012 by Miguel Olascuaga

It has been awhile since I have really wrote anything on here. I wish I could say it’s because I’m busy, but rather just a lack of creativity and dark storms pouring down shit and hail all over me (you can imagine how hard it is to walk in that). I have recently switched locations from Douglasville,Ga. to Atlanta. I am still at “Forever Yours Tattoo”, it’s the Boulevard location and it’s where “Liberty Tattoo” used to be. The main “Liberty Tattoo” is still on Ponce. I feel much better being in Atlanta and the shop is beautiful. I am closer to my friends being here and something about the city just does it for me. Below is a picture of Forever Yours Tattoo, ATL.

I love this place, I have had the pleasure of watching Shay Cannon build machines here. This is a great way of starting off the New Year!

So… I am putting a few paintings and a tattoo. Things are picking up here in the ATL, and i have some large projects on the way.

This here is a painting I did for the Goldenstein’s. They have become good friends of ours due to the Colvin’s. I was putting myself out there to anybody who wanted me to paint them something, and they were nice enough to commission me for such a thing. I love Alchemy related art and things to do with such. The Goldenstein’s told me to do what I wanted to, and I felt that this fit them perfect.

I tattooed this lil’ diddy on a lady by the name of Stephanie, she has always let me do fun tattoos on her. I took from Sailor Jerry as I often do, and put her phrase in the banners.

Below is a painting that I did for a friend’s anniversary present. It says something inspirational and sweet and all that jazz.

It was a good exercise to get me in the mood. I have felt extremely unmotivated lately, a few more paintings and I will be back to where I need to be.

Thank you for stopping in for a minute and reading my page, sorry there were no nudes…..

If  you are interested in getting tattooed by me or inquiring about a painting, then you can contact me @knockknockthedevil@gmail.com or stop by the shop @ 566 Boulevard SE Atlanta Ga. 30312  404.635.9414

My trip went way better than I thought it would. I would like to give an open apology to those that I did not get to, I got in a little over my head and lost track of time. It was great hangin’ out with my old crew at Black Cat Tattoo, Darren Anderson, and Megan Fernandez are on my page for you viewing pleasure, so check them out! Picking each other’s brains for a new way of doing things is always my favorite thing about working with other artists. Getting a chance to work around the crew at Black Cat was refreshing and helpful in guiding me towards something a little better than what I was currently doing. Here is an owl below that I did on an existing client and friend of mine.

This was great piece, and I was grateful to have had the chance o do it. Below is a panther eating a girl’s head. I have seen a good bit of these done, and most of them are incredible. I took a few tips from Megan, and did a version that could fit on the top of a foot. It was fun, although I believe the next time I see Kevin, I will bug him to add something around it. Kevin Roth was the gentleman that received this tattoo, a very kind and appreciative soul.

Right below is my buddy Scot Thorpe. We have been working on a sleeve piece by piece. This is what I added while I was in PCB.

The piece above was taken from some old flash by Ben Corday, very awesome imagery.

The picture above ended up being a little shiny, but it’s the best one out of 500 that I took! I started this tattoo a while back, and this time to PCB I got to finish it. The random flower at top was already there before we started, I plan on re-doing it and adding it to the present tattoo.

Below here is a Sailor Jerry Hula Girl, this young lady was a walk-in at Black Cat, and I love me some Sailor Jerry .

And one more for  the road, below is a swallow and horseshoe that I tattooed on a young lady’s shoulder. PCB was real good to me, I will being seeing them again real soon!

Thank you for stopin’ by!

Papa Don’t Preach

Seems like there are demons chasing me these days…. or at least my mind has been haunted by dreams of death and visions of paranormal beings that roam our living quarters.  I have been using all these dreams to my advantage, and putting together a few projects for the near future. On a much lighter and positive note, I recently have been published  under the  “Artist Spotlight” section in Atlanta’s new magazine entitled, “Ink Atlanta” Issue No. 1.

I am grateful to have been published, and I am hoping that it will get me better acquainted with Atlanta’s  tattoo community. Thank you Jessica Hill, and Ink Atlanta for giving me some exposure.

July 21st I will be going back to Panama City for a little guest spot at Black Cat Tattoo. I am hoping to sink my teeth in to some new skin. It’s gonna be nice to see friends and play sum hillbilly jams with the boys. If you live in Panama City and you are reading this post, then come get some fresh ink from me while I’m there!

Above is a painting I did as a trade out with great tattooer by the name of Mr. Shane Woodward. Shane works at Big Kahuna Tattoo in Boca Raton, Fl. I am really looking forward to getting a piece of art from this gentleman. Below is a painting I did for Mr. Bert Krak. I bought an awesome machine from him, and I believe sending a little painting to the person is a  a sign of respect, and further extends  my gratitude, a little something I learned from my good buddy Darren Anderson.

I have recently done a few things that I am happy to post. One of which is a Sailor Jerry piece that friend, and client “Denny” asked me to put on him. I realize that I do a good bit of  Sailor Jerry imagery, but I really enjoy it, and as long as they are asking for it, then I will always be glad to tattoo it.

Below, is a little owl jammer I had the privilege of doing on a referral from Mr. Dave Kruseman. It was her 18th. Birthday and she has been saving her money for it. Its makes me happy to see people planning out they’re tattoos and actually saving for the occasion. She sat real well, and was very polite.

Now…. this next one below is a sugar skull that I did on Eric. I got to do pretty much what I wanted with this piece, and I really enjoyed doing it. I feel very blessed to have so many people trust me with their skin.

I was really happy that I didn’t shit the bed on this one..

Below is a little dragon that I did on a walk-in. I am posting it because it’s not my usual color scheme, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

and one more thing to post would be this…. This gentleman came in our studio asking for Mr. Colvin, Phil was booked so he asked if I would be interested. It was a challenge for me to approach this with a different view other than how I really felt like doing it. I know Phil wanted me to step out from behind the “Traditional Curtain” for a spell, and so I did so. It took me quite a while, but it was still fun. This man’s father passed away and he wanted this Gibson Headstock  with a banner that read “Dad”. It took a bit longer than I thought, but at the end of the day it was still a solid tattoo.

Thank you for stopping in and reading my blog!
